Mass Loaded Vinyl Barrier – MLV

MLV insulation sheet is made of high density synthetic thermoplastic polymer mass loaded with naturally occurring minerals. The product is free of lead, etc. It’s black/dark grey in color and the product is recyclable which makes it very eco friendly.

 Applications

Designed to improve the sound reduction performance of walls, floors, ceilings, enclosure constructions, pipes, either as a single sound barrier such as a noise curtain, or part of a composite combined with mass and/or sound absorbing materials.

• Airborne sound insulation for light constructions with steel sheet, plasterboard, bricks, plastic sheets, wood, MDF, drainage pipes etc, or as suspended insulating curtains with the appropriate support.
• Impact sound insulation for applications like doors, floating floors, partition walls, machine enclosures, vehicle floors, etc.
• Vibration damping for metal sheets, plastic sheets, drain pipes, vehicle walls and floors, etc.
• Combinations MLV can be combined with sound absorption materials and/or as bonded to rigid elements like wooden, plaster, plastic or metal sheets, achieve even higher degrees of sound insulation and vibration damping.
